CURRENT VERSION STATUS: Closed Beta 8 (7.02.2010)
» Which game modes interest you? New poll. Finally.
New poll is available at the website. Make sure you give me a good overview about what you play and what you don't. Obviously, basic game modes like Battle are not included in the poll because I realize that those are most desired game modes ever. You can read more about game modes listed in the poll here.
Remember, that the poll is MULTIPLE CHOICE.
No new updates at this moment, those who follow Mental Omega at ModDB and already know that there is going to be a small easter egg in 3.0.

Also, I've recently converted a mission from Soviet campaign into 1v1 skirmish map - Forbidden City. After I'm done with exams, more updates are to come. Vote in the poll and stay tuned.
Oh, btw. Gates are in. Obviously.

» Media update!
Well, currently I'm having a nice 2-week holiday break from everything (esp. studies..) so I thought I'd post a quick media update here. Oh, and I'll tell you in secret (haha) that Allied cooperative campaign for 3.0 is finished and currently being tested. Few more missions to go and finally all missions will be complete. I still have to make it to iconic 100 skirmish maps before I can say that we are another step closer to the release. ^^ Also, vote the gates in if you are a true gate supporter. Now, the news.
Firstly, 2009 Mod of the Year Awards are up and running. It's been 5 years since we are around and in 2006 we even made it to the Top 100 Mods thanks to your support, so if you enjoyed the mod and think we could have a try at this Top 100 this year - check our profile and vote for Mental Omega. ^^
Remember that you can vote for more than one mod and there are some great mods for Command & Conquer. Check them out and support those as well! You don't need to register if you want to vote.
Secondly, there are 10 new screenshots from 3.0 at ModDB. Some of those show new features available in the upcoming version, like AoD-type map, new Barracuda voxel and two screenshots from new missions. Oh, also first image from new (and WORKING!) multiplayer cooperative mission is up. Enter the gallery to browse those new screenshots.
Also, there's a new ingame video footage showing AI player getting crushed by it's enemies. But hey, it managed to stay alive for almost 5 minutes! This video and two other ones are available at MO YouTube channel. Also, I've added some videos from other mods to the favourites so check them out!
Oh, and most important thing - Happy New Year 2010. Best wishes!

» Imma stealin' ur techz!
Small preview of the updated stolen technology infantry units. Some stay untouched (although most likely there've been changes in stats to every one of them), some are completely new, replacing the ones which were found less attractive. I can assure you that in 3.0 infiltration of the advanced tech buildings (Tech Center, Research Lab and Battle Lab) IS worth that while and effort. These units are very useful and can save you from lots of trouble, bringing some at your enemy's side.
There is no strict this_unit-steals-this_technology thing this time as you can see. And there won't be. And no more psychic illusion-based infantry in stolen tech, sorry!
I'll let you guess the who-robs-who pattern.
Back to work!
PS. Oh, yes. Your favourite Volkov and Chitzkoi are still in. I am thinking of switching the way you can get them. And who knows, maybe not only those two..
PS2. Make sure you watch this video featuring ingame footage from mevitar's total conversion for Yuri's Revenge called Doom Desire!

» GHOSTS.
As I'm learning to record ingame footage of Mental Omega, I've made these two videos. One is a walkthrough of the sooooo famous solo Tanya mission part from the first Allied mission, Dead Gardens (3.0 updated version). The another one is a preview of one of new missions from upcoming version, this one is called Ghosts and shows how the Allies discovered and destroyed Epsilon's psychic illusion research facilities dubbed Illusion Cores.
Please understand that I'm still experimenting with various compression effects and recordings. Expect more footage soon.
